The Hanze Institute of Technology (HIT) has received some very special - and much deserved - recognition. HIT's Advanced Sensor Applications (ASA) Bachelor Programme has been ranked Number One in the Keuzegids HBO Voltijd 2011 in the study category 'Electrotechniek'.
Furthermore, of the 22 nationwide programmes that have been awarded an 'excellent' status within the guide, HIT is rated 4th. This coincides perfectly with the launch of our Honours programme at the beginning of this academic year!
The guide rates a number of criteria, including teaching skills, curriculum and student satisfaction. Overall, this is a remarkable achievement, considering HIT is only in its third year and does not yet have its first graduates.

For the HIT Challenge 2010 we had several ideas to use for our car. At first we thought of a flywheel, build up energy in the mass of the flywheel while going down the ramp and then use that energy in the flat piece of the track. Because the wheels need to run smoothly we thought wheel bearings would be great. This resulted in buying a second hand skateboard.
Hanze Institute of technology in the news. Drents Diep, a news program of the local broadcast made an item about sensor technology. There was a short part where I demonstrated our project. Overall it is a nice representation of our education.
Today I passed my portfolio assesment; 8 EC Points...
45 EC points gained in total.
Waiting for the english test (12EC) and some last reports...

Yesterday the Mathematics resit. I was a bit nervous, because I needed the EC points for that subject. Luckely I passed it, with a 7.4 !!! Now up to the next challenge...
